Hi All,
I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to all the Club Members that helped run our round of Track Attack at Easfield track.....the day ran very smoothly and Lilydale and Eastfield clubs worked extremely well together.
Also thank you to those families that helped out at Eastfield with working bees building up to the weekend. As if we don't have enough to do at our own track, but we still found time to go to Eastfield.

Also I would like to thank the ladies that helped with the organising of trophies for the Track Attack Series, they worked their butts off to get some sort of order to the chaos that was handed to us, yet again we pulled through with flying colors!!!!!

The Lilydale Bmx club are devastated to hear of the passing of our dear friend Wes Marshall. Wes was taken from us over the weekend in tragic circumstances. He was highly respected as a rider within the club and in the old school Bmx circles where he was know as Rotah.
Wes had also recently become engaged.
We at Lilydale are planning a fitting memorial to be unveiled at the reopening of the track in honor of Wes.
R.I.P Wes Marshall.

Hi All, We are having our last clubbie on the 27th of Aug. before we bull doze the track. It will be an old school themed event. There will be pit bike racing old school bike racing side hacks if you bring them an expresion session, awards for old school bikes,best dressed parents in the crowd sausage sizzzle. Then to finish of you can take a pick to your least favourite part of the track for a gold coin donation.

Hi everyone,just a reminder This Saturday the 7th of May there will be a clubby, 1.30pm registration, racing from 2.00pm.Also if riders could wear their Lilydale jerseys we would like to take a photo with the Bendigo Bank
cheque.

If any members are able to come to the track about 10.00am on Saturday to help with some mowing that would be greatly appreciated.

him a position in the National Talent ID Squad.Once again congratulations on a fantastic effort,the Club is very proud to produce a very talented group of riders.
Good luck to those riders who continue on to the Worlds in Copenhagen in July.

Hi All, Lilydale will NOT be holding a Clubby this Friday as previously planned. We are still repairing the damage from the last storm.
We will be working on the third and fourth straights next Tuesday night to get ready for our next scheduled Clubby Friday the 4th of march for those who are not going to the ACT Titles.

LATEST Breaking News: The Flood Relief Appeal Race @ Lilydale has been re-scheduled for Sunday the 13th of Feb. Gate drops 11am. practice 9.30am to 10.30am.

There will be a team working on the track on Tuesday night from 5.30pm and Saturday to repair the track from the flood damage.

LATEST BREAKING NEWS: the Flood Relief Appeal Race at Lilydale has been postponed due to rain and flooding. The future date is yet to be decided.

Well we had a wonderful Clubby at Lilydale Last Night. Track was great! We had about 25 riders and despite a few Light showers the races went on! It rained after the final then stopped long enough to run a relay which ended in a dead heat. (Again!!!) Wow and we had 50% of riders in Club Jeresys, Lovely. Those who weren't there missed another good night.

Hey everyone there is a Clubby this Friday night 4th Feb @ Lilydale, Classes for all riders and we even have a Relay. Reg at 6pm gate drop at 7pm Cya there!!

Hi All thanks to the 25 club riders that came to the Clubby last night at Lilydale, we had a great night. The showers were timed nicely between Motos and no-one got too wet, the track was dry and fast. Good to see 4 young Ladies on the track as well! Go Girls!
Relay was a crowd favourite. Good to see our senior rider turning up to make the open class a challenge Too! Thanks everyone who helped out with new members stepping up to the plate to do stuff.
Awesome, and we have decided to do it all again next week. Same time, same place. Clubby Lilydale reg 6pm race 7pm Friday 19th Nov.

Hi All,
What a big day we had at Interclub on Sun.
Lilydale did so well and I reckon we had the most riders from Lilydale, at an Interclub than I can remember in the last 13 years, everyone rode so well the track is an amazing track and huge to our little guys. Some hadn't ridden the track just straight onto the racing.
Yet again I am so proud of our guys they looked absolutely great in the jersey's they stood out the best on the track.
I haven't mentioned our relay team yet.......they did great. Some of the other club's had 2 AA pro riders in their team. We held our ground as best we could and each member of our relay team Max Boyle, Steven Gedye, Brenton Gibbs and Glen Uren rode to the best of their ability under a lot of pressure. Well done Boys.

Lilydale Spring Cup

216 Riders from across the State converged at Lilydale BMX Track on Sunday 17th October, to compete in the annual Spring Cup, incorporating Round 4 of the Metro Plate Series. Lilydale Club members had worked tirelessly to prepare the track in the weeks leading up to the event and were well rewarded with the track holding up extremely well, despite the heavy rain over two days prior to the event. The highlight for the day was the Lilydale Spring Cup Relay, where two gates of three relay teams raced to qualify for a place in the final. Knox BMX Club and Lilydale made it through to the final. In the final, Knox got off to a great start and by the end of the second lap had gained almost three quarters of a straight lead. Lilydale fought back and by the final lap had closed the gap considerably only to loose out by around four bike lengths. This race has topped off what has been a very exciting year for the Lilydale BMX Club, which this year, celebrates its 30th Anniversary. Formed in 1980 the Lilydale BMX Club holds fortnightly race meetings and training nights on Tuesday each week. Can I just say a BIG THANKYOU to our club members and Committee for a absolute top effort Sun. at our Spring Cup......
Track held up amazingly well under the most adverse conditions, even getting faster as the day progressed some of our riders were saying.
I believe that is due to the many hours of work put into the track for weeks and weeks before the event.
I am proud to work along side this C'mittee and the members of this club, we work well together, and that is what makes our Club unique and different to other clubs.
While on the topic of being Proud.........How awesome was our relay team, and how proud I am of our boys, Liam Steele, Jordyn Davis, Steven Gedye and Andrew Willis.
If you missed that race here it is.......2 gates of 3 relay teams top 1 through to the final......Final between L'dale and Knox. Liam gave us an awesome head start, Jordy maintained that lead as best he could, Andy managed to close the gap as much as poss. for Steven to then take on Tom Sinmaa, Knox went onto win but only by about 4 bike lengths.......I can tell you we had a sniff of winning look out next year.......
